Baltimore restaurants

I will be staying near the inner harbor next week. What is the best place for crab cakes?

G%26amp;M near the airport are the very best and would spoil you for anything else - but not convenient from the harbor. There%26#39;s a divey bar in fells point called Dudas and they have some pretty good crab cakes. Mamas on the Halfshell in Canton are good also, and one eyed mikes in fells point. People may recommend the Lexington Market as well, but I wouldn%26#39;t send an out-of-towner up there.

Please. Lexington Market isn%26#39;t even open after 6:00 in the evening, and it%26#39;s perfectly safe, thousands of people go there every day for lunch including tourists and office workers as well as locals.

Yeah, Faidley%26#39;s in Lexington Market is recognized as one of the best for crabcakes if you can get there.

You can take a water taxi to nearby Fells Point and try John Steven Ltd. Not known for their crabcakes exactly, but their seafood and ambiance gets raves.

Similarly, if you can make it there you could try Bo Brooks in Canton a little further on. My wife loved their crabcakes.

If you are stuck in the Inner Harbor, you could try the Blue Sea Grill near Power Plant Live. A bit pricy, and not the standard Maryland crab cake, but undoubtedly tasty.

There is also the M%26amp;S Grill in the Light Street pavilion, although their reviews are as mixed as the Legal Seafoods chain across the street.

Just avoid Phillips whatever you do.
