Baltimore Hilton

Just a couple of comments on the Baltimore Hilton Hotel. My daughter stayed there last weekend and found the staff to be great and hotel itself very nice - beds very comfortable and she had a great view of Camden Yards. Her only negative comments were that wireless internet was $6 an hour and there was no refrigerator in her room. As this is a brand new 4 star hotel, she assumed there would be a refrigerator. It was not a huge deal but an inconvenience. Based on recommendation on this board, she had a great meal at Obryckis and had a substantial amount of leftovers that she would have taken home and enjoyed at another time had there been a refrigerator in her room.

We stayed at the Intercontinental Inner Harbor in May and we had a refrigerator and free wireless internet in our room - standard room.

Also as they were checking in, a hotel guest arrived at the front desk extremely upset. Apparently she was there on business and her laptop and jewelry were stolen from her room. The police arrived and it was quite a fiasco. My daughter inquired later as to what the outcome was but the hotel staff was not able to tell her anything. This could happen to any of us in any hotel we are staying in.....we need to be diligent in protecting our personal property. And.......who knows if items were stolen or not - we will never know!!

Most hotels will provide a refrigerator in room upon request - free if it%26#39;s for medical purposes, sometimes free otherwise or a daily charge. Let you daughter know to just call the front desk and ask next time she wants one.

As to the nice view of Camden Yards, the same CAN%26#39;T be said for the view from Camden Yards! Very sad to take away the city view and especially the Bromo Seltzer tower, in exchange for an uninspired etc. etc. looking hotel.

One should put their jewelry and cash etc. in the room safe (I am guilty here)
