I live in NY and am trying to plan a bachelorette party for next summer. The bride would like to go to a beach town that has fun nightlife. We will be driving, so it needs to be somewhere in the NY area...any suggestions? Thanks so much!

I don%26#39;t know if I%26#39;d consider Maryland%26#39;s one beach town (Ocean City) to be ';in the NY area.'; It%26#39;s a 4.5 hour drive from NYC and other parts of the state would be further.
Just how far distancewise are you willing to drive and from where in NY? Are you looking to make a weekend out of it or a one-nighter?
Ocean City would definitely be fun if you%26#39;re all up to the drive. My other suggestion--in cross-posting your message to the various forums, you left out Delaware. Dewey Beach or Rehoboth Beach would be good choices and would be about 45 minutes closer to NY than Ocean City, MD.

I am a native Staten Islander and live in Newark, Delaware. Have you thought of the Jersey Shore?? Atlantic City, Ocean City, Point Pleasant, Cape May? Each beach has their own flavor and they are definately closer to NY. My own bachlorette weekend was in Dewey Beach, DE and we had a great time!!
