We are going to Ocean City for the weekend. It will be the first time my kids ever saw the ocean :) They are 10, 8 and 6. So far we are planning on going to see the ponies, walk the boards, go to Harrisons Harbor watch for dinner and get take out crabs one night and maybe hit the outlets.
Does anyone have any other ideas...or places to go -- maybe someplace that would be good for breakfast with 3 kids. Anything else that would be fun? I know they are having Winefest but with 3 kids, what fun is that??
Goin to OC - Sat thru Tuesday....any tips for family of 5??
Mini golf is a must for an Ocean City visit! Riding bikes on the Boardwalk is fun for the whole family. Bike rentals are readily available

We just got back from OC and had a wonderful, but very windy, time!!! We spend a good deal of time at Assateague and this year we saw something that we had not seen before! There, right along the road was a foal and his mother!!!! Your kids should be on the look out for that! Maybe take them crabbing for fun. All it takes is some string line and some chicken necks for bait! You might not catch many keepers, but it is fun to try to bring them in slowly and net them before they let go and swim away! You can even get all the stuff you%26#39;ll need at any bait/tackle store or even grocery store. Net, line and bait for less than $15.00! As for breakfast, Layton%26#39;s is good, but usually very busy! We went to the Sahara hotel diner and had a wonderful breakfast with fast, friendly service and also great food! That might be a good spot that is also reasonable with 3 kids!
I%26#39;m betting the ocean will captivate the kids at those ages. The weather is turning %26amp; ocean temps have dropped into the 60%26#39;s, but I%26#39;m guessing they will still want to get wet...maybe invest in boogie boards for them.
My folks starting taking us to the shore every year from infants on up %26amp; now we can%26#39;t stay away...I just can%26#39;t imagine being 8 or 10 for a first visit.
Here%26#39;s hoping you enjoy it enought to start making the annual pilgrimmage!
A great place to go with kids that age is Frontier Town. Here is the web site. http://www.frontiertown.com/western.cfm
It is on the other side of the bridge. You can also find go carts on that side as well.
The Satellite up by the 45th Street shopping plaza is a great place for breakfast - they have a huge menu with many kid sized breakfast meals. I would suggest stopping by the Harborside for lunch or dinner one day. It%26#39;s right on the harbor in West OC and your kids will be able to see all the big commercial fishing boats there. Just go over the Route 50 bridge and turn left on Golf Course Road (2nd light), follow Golf Course Road around the harbor and you will see the Harborside.
