OC Christmas Displays

Is anyone planning to go to OC to see the Christmas Displays this year?

If anyone does go would you mind posting some pics here. I%26#39;d love to see what it looks like!!!

OC Christmas Displays

Here are some Winterfest pics from a few years ago. The displays change little (if any) from year-to-year.

I%26#39;d take it with a grain of salt water taffy that this was somehow ranked second only to Disney nationally. It%26#39;s certainly impressive, but not so much different than some of the commercial drive-thru displays you probably have available closer to home.

OC Christmas Displays

Thank you very much, Tubman, for the pictures. They%26#39;re great!!!

We do have some nice drive-thru displays to go to here in Western PA as well as some neighborhoods in our area that are decorated beautifully, but I think at least to me that what makes OC%26#39;s seem just a little bit more special is the location. That%26#39;s one of the reasons why if time wasn%26#39;t a factor, we%26#39;d be down there each year to see them.

There are 2 different displays in OC.

Here%26#39;s the info from an OC site:

Winterfest of Lights – November 20 – January 1, 2009, Town-wide, Inlet lot %26amp; Northside Park, 127th St. Take a drive through the Tunnel of Lights at Ocean City’s Inlet to enjoy the nautical displays of holiday lights. Ocean City is your favorite holiday place for taking in all the sights. Dazzling lights on cold winter nights put everyone in a holiday mood. Ocean City’s award-winning light displays begin with the tunnel of lights at the Inlet where you find the beach filled with lights boasting a nautical theme. Travel the avenues of Ocean City to see the old-fashioned lighted wreaths, then it’s on to Northside Park to see hundreds of animated lighted displays. Relax in the heated tent to sip hot chocolate or browse Yukon Cornelius’ gift shop for a special gift %26amp; have a photo taken with Santa. Then board the Winterfest Express to tour the lights, including the themed exhibits of the Twelve Days of Christmas %26amp; your favorite fairy tales. Small fee to ride tram. Sun.-Thurs., 5:30-9:30 p.m.; Fri.-Sat., 5:30-10:30 p.m. 800-OC-OCEAN. (800-626-2326) 410-250-0125.

I%26#39;m just a kid at heart so this is an anual Thanksgiving tradition for my family.

Thanks for the additional information, 0106!!

Do they decorate the boardwalk up itself at all?

I love your comment about being kids at heart...there%26#39;s just something about going and looking at Christmas decoration displays that does bring the kid out in me, LOL!!!

If you take any pictures when you go see the lights, if you remember, could you post some of them here?

Thanks!!!

Baltimore Ave from 15th to 30th (Anthony%26#39;s)have decorated trees on the medium strip donated by Ocean City business%26#39;s.

The beach at the Inlet and the parking lot at the Convention Center are also decorated.

The past few years the city has been encouraging businesses and residents on Ocean Hwy to decorate.

In the residential areas of Cain Woods and Montego Bay people decorate their houses.
