What's near Rodeway Inn??

We%26#39;re going to be staying at the Rodeway Inn this weekend from Saturday till Tuesday. We stayed there a few years ago but I can%26#39;t remember what%26#39;s on the boardwalk in that area.

Are there many stores or restaurants/food stands?

Actually, you will be one block north of the northern end of the Boardwalk.

That area, the northern most end of the Boardwalk, is not filled with as many commercial businesses as the parts south.

As far as places to eat you have Coins located at 28th and the coastal highway, you could have a meal at the Dunes Manor Hotel located at 28th oceanfront, Anthony%26#39;s located on 30th and the coastal highway.

Within walking distance you have both stores, food stores, and places to eat that would suit most tastes.

Plus this time of year you can drive with relative ease around the area if needed.

Every thing it is a great location but not so great motel.But the bordwalk is right there half of a block from the boardwalk.

Just curious as to why you say it%26#39;s a ';not so great motel';? It%26#39;s has good reviews on here and from what I remember it was nice, not 4 star hotel nice but it was nice enough.

The Rodeway Inn has two buildings. One is an older, less expensive motel style facing the parking lot and the Coastal Highway. I have not stayed in this building. The other building is much newer and oceanfront. Several years ago it was voted the top Rodeway in the country. It has interior corridors, nice furnishings, big balconys, and rooms with a sofa, small table, and kitchen area. I have stayed in this building many times and found it to be an excellent place to stay. I think the differences between these two buildings may explain some of the divergence of opinion that has been on this board before concerning the Rodeway.

Thank you for clearing that up. We are staying in an oceanfront room on an upper floor. I really wanted oceanfront which is the reason we ended up so far down at the end of the boardwalk, everything else was booked up.

Oh you will have a wonderful time. You are close to Coins, Phillips, Da Vinci%26#39;s and several italian and seafood eateries on Coastal. Dont forget the Christmas Shoppe on 34th street and Coastal Highway. Have a wonderful time and great weather!!
