We%26#39;re staying at the Garden Inn at BWI the first of October and want to take the light rail to the Aquarium. Is the walk from the station to the aquarium doable (we%26#39;re able bodied but middle aged) and if so, what is the best route? About how much would it cost to take a taxi? Is there a nice seafood eatery close by? Thanks locals!
BWI to Aquarium
you can do it easily.
i think i%26#39;ll let tubman give you the specific directions, even though i%26#39;ve done it myself...i%26#39;m an idiot %26amp; SO bad at giving directions!
it%26#39;s a piece of cake, %26amp; easy to just ';walk to the water';....seems to me like just walk down pratt street is the way...
but wait %26amp; see what tubman says....sometimes i know how to get somewhere but can%26#39;t tell anybody else how to do it!
BWI to Aquarium
The walk to the aquarium is 3/4 mile from Convention Center station. At the front end of your train will be Pratt Street--take a right.
After you cross Light Street, you%26#39;ll see the Harborplace complex on the right. At this point, you can either continue straight down Pratt, or bear right to do the more scenic walk the rest of the way along the waterfront.
Taxi should be about $4.

Thanks guys! How about a good place to eat nearby? It sounds like we don%26#39;t want to eat at the aquarium.
You are within walking distance of Little Italy. Always a good choice. There are many new restaurant in the Inner Harbor East which I feel is a better choice thatn the Inner Harbor proper. What type of food are you looking for- what time of day?
We were thinking about a place in Fells Pt that%26#39;s supposed to have good crabcakes. Duda%26#39;s I think it%26#39;s called.
i%26#39;ve never been to duda%26#39;s myself, but my husband used to have lunch there with a friend of his, %26amp; he liked it a lot...he liked the burgers, don%26#39;t know if he ever had a crab cake. i%26#39;ve seen it recommended on TA, as well.
Fells point is a bit of hike from the aquarium. There are a bunch of restaurants in the inner harbor area that you will pass along your way. If none of those suit your fancy, then a few blocks east of the aquarium you will hit little Italy (you will see Della Notte which will be your clue). There are a ton of choices in the area, follow your stomach = )
