Hi all--can you help me out? We are looking for an eastern shore inn or locale that would be a great destination wedding spot. Ideally we would be able to have the inn for our wedding exclusively for the weekend sometime next spring or summer, and then be able to have other guests stay pretty nearby if they can%26#39;t stay with us. I have looked at Kent Manor Inn (they do 4 weddings per weekend) and The Oaks. I don%26#39;t need to stay in St. Michaels, and would really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

I went to a wedding at the Kent Manor and it was really wonderful. I am extremely picky and I would have my wedding there. The reception was in the glass enclosure outside the Inn and even tho it was winter, it was breathtaking.

Some other options, although not all inns, would be:
St. Michaels - Inn at Perry Cabin (expensive but awesome); Harbortowne (cool waterfront location but bigger than an inn)
Chestertown - Brampton Inn (never been to a wedding here but considering a stay and it looks very nice), Great Oak (been to a couple of weddings here, they do a nice job), the Imperial Hotel (not sure if they could accomidate a reception but would be good place for overflow guests to stay)
I have to agree with the previous poster that Chestertown would be another option. Rock Hall is another town on the bay in Kent County that has some nice inns; I%26#39;ve seen a few destination weddings throughout the summer, and this town has plenty of motels/inns to accomodate guests. It%26#39;s also probably half the price of St. Michael%26#39;s wedding spots.
Good luck!!!!
Check out www.tidewaterwedding.com for Kirkland Manor. Fabulous spectacular setting -- there is nothing else like the waterfront views and sunsets at this venue.
Hi - have you tried Kirkland Manor which is between Easton and St Michaels. The Manor is on a large estate with gorgeous views of the Miles River. One can rent the Manor for the whole weekend (all for yourself and guests) - can host up to 400 guests.
They only do one wedding a weekend so very private.
You can see details of the venue on their website www.tidewaterwedding.com - the home acccommodates 12 and they have a sister home that acccommodates 10. There are numerous hotels and B %26amp; B%26#39;s in the area. One can hold your rehearsal dinner on the Friday, ceremony and reception on the Saturday and a brunch for your guests on a Sunday. It is absolutely beautiful.
