Sat. eve and Sunday in Baltimore

Flying into BWI on Sat. evening Nov. 1st. and I%26#39;m looking for a good place to lose my steamed crab virginity. I love snow and king crab so are these anything like those? Would like to stay near the airport since our room is there but will have a car.

Planning on going into Baltimore on Sunday and do a 12:30 Camden Yards tour and eating lunch at Amiccis afterwards. Then spend the rest of the afternoon walking around the inner harbor and maybe go to the aquarium. Is 2 hours plenty for the aquarium? Any suggestions for dinner. We love seafood so maybe another crab house in case I really like the ones from Sat. Night. Are most things in the inner harbor open on Sundays? Also, any reviews on the Cats Eye Pub? We%26#39;re looking for a blues place for after dinner and the pub was mentioned somewhere else.

All of the snow and king crabs I%26#39;ve had have no seasoning and are served with butter, like lobster.

MD crabs are steamed and heavily seasoned with Old Bay, a salty, spicy mixture. Those of us who have lived here forever LOVE it and put it on EVERYTHING, fries, corn, anything you would use salt for. If you%26#39;ve never had it, it may be a little spicy for you. If you want butter with crabs, you have to ask for it. Although I really prefer dipping the meat in vinegar, then more Old Bay (you usually have to ask for these too).

Amicci%26#39;s is good, but I prefer Sabatino%26#39;s or Chiaparelli%26#39;s (also in Little Italy) myself. Better atmosphere.

2 hours should be fine for the Aquarium.

For crabs I%26#39;d go to Canton (short cab ride from the harbor/Aquarium) and either go to Canton Dockside or Bo Brooks.

Do NOT got to Phillips.

Pretty much everything downtown is open on Sun.

I also recommend Kali%26#39;s Court or Mezze for seafood both in Fells Point (also a short cab ride). Kali%26#39;s is high end ($$$$), but Mezze is more casual and tappas which is fun. Excellent seafood and wine lists.

See my post under ';Baltimore Area Crabs'; for crab house recommendations from Baltimore magazine and the Sun. Closest to the airport is the SeaSide Restaurant Crab House and Lounge, 224 N. Crain Highway, Glen Burnie- about 10 minute drive. All of the places listed also serve seafood. Canton is close to Fells Point if you%26#39;d lioke to try another crab house. I%26#39;d suggest John Stevens for dinner, very close to the Cats Eye Pub. If you don%26#39;t like the band, being in Fells Point gives you options.
