I stayed there about 10 years ago and liked it very much.

We used to go all the time when they had dog friendly rooms (they do not any more.) The resort is GEARED toward families. The lake is clean and the swimming is great. They also have a pool. You can fish, canoe, hike etc. There are several walks you can take one that goes up a small mountain to the Mason Dixon Line and another that takes you around the entire lake. (You can do shorter hikes as well) Food is only so so, but there is a great wood fired pizza place nearby that also serves other dishes. Hopefully it is still open.

At night they have a fire right by the water where there is free marshmellows and everyone gathers around. I believe they also have all kinds of programs you can participate in. The golf course is nice too if anyone partakes. All in all, I think it is a great affordable family place to go.
