Hotwire and all the other sites

I found out that I got a cheaper rate using AAA or AARP. I check with all the other services and I got a better rate calling the hotel myself and asking if they gave discounts to AAA and AARP and they did.

I%26#39;m NOT saying these sites are a fraud and I%26#39;m NOT saying you can%26#39;t get a deal like the other posters said so cool your jets but what I am saying is check with these sites first THEN call the hotel. If they don%26#39;t accept AAA then go with Priceline or Expedia or whatever.

A friend of mine swears by Priceline and I%26#39;m amazed at the low prices she gets but whatever works for you...
