trip report

Hubby and I spent this past weekend in Baltimore with our kids, ages 8 and 4. Stayed at the Hilton Homewood Suites on President St. and highly recommend it. Only negative was that staff couldn%26#39;t handle the morning rush at breakfast so if you go, eat early. Very good dinner Friday night at Sabatino%26#39;s in Little Italy, a short walk from the hotel. Spent all day Saturday at the Maryland Science Center, a truly awesome asset. Love the SpaceLink. Yes, the aquarium is great, but we don%26#39;t feel the same pull to return more than every few years as the kids need a refresher. With the Science Center we have a membership. Had dinner Saturday at Ikaros in Greektown. Authentic Greek food very well prepared. Sunday we went to the American Visionary Museum for the first time. I can%26#39;t decide what I liked better: the art, or the biographies of the artists. The kids loved the sculptures that became animated with the push of a button. Okay, hubby and I liked them too.

Baltimore is a great city with many lesser known gems. We%26#39;ll be back soon.

P.S. grabbed cannoli from Vacarro%26#39;s on the way home. Yum! Almost as good as Isgro%26#39;s in South Philly.
