No, I don%26#39;t think so. My family has been to Solomons Island several times for overnight visits, and the town is too small and compact for a campground. Solomons has 3 hotels: Holiday Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, and Comfort Inn, also it has several small bed and breakfast inns. You can find more information at:

The nearest campground to Solomons Island, seems to be the ';Chesapeake Ranch Estates Campground'; which is 3 miles - 5 kilometers - to the north.

Perhaps a bit off topic, but if you%26#39;re in that area, a great party spot is Vera%26#39;s White Sands. You%26#39;ll see the signs on Route 2. Vera%26#39;s no longer there, but the leopard skin bar remains. The place is alot of fun and has good food, too.

We live just across the bridge in Great Mills. My husband is active duty military and wants to camp at the Navy Rec. base on the Solomons side of the bridge after a night of partying at the Tiki Bar. I was thinking that instead of taking a cab to base, it may be easier to camp within walking distance, which doesn%26#39;t seem like an option.
