Weekend visit - first time in OC

Hello,

We will be visiting Ocean City for the first time the last weekend in February. Won%26#39;t have all that much time... there for my daughter%26#39;s cheerleading competition.

Any suggestions on what to see and where to eat would be greatly appreciated!

We will be staying at Hilton Suites (near the convention center we were told) and the hubby and I might have one ';date'; night amidst the screaming and cheering!!!

THANKS!

You are staying at an great oceanfront hotel, you will really enjoy it. As for the what to eat question, what type of food do you and your husband like?

Weekend visit - first time in OC

We love all kinds of food but being in Maryland... let%26#39;s do seafood!!!!

Hubby likes a good bottle of wine... if it%26#39;s a BYOB, that%26#39;s great too as I am sure we%26#39;ll pack a bottle or two :)

Thanks!!!

I%26#39;d recommend Liquid Assets for a wine lover (excellent food and lively crowd for winter time), but their menu is not necessarily seafood oriented.

Just read a few reviews on it and it sounds GREAT and a place we would probably love!!!!

Thanks for the suggestion... one question... is it relatively close to the Hilton?

So many great places to eat in OC makes it hard to choose in your limited time. Liquid Assest would be a good choice as maybe a boardwalk restuarant too if your looking for being there. Phillips, Anthony%26#39;s for lunch or even the Dough Roller are exceptional places. ( Not the fancy but good food )

If you are staying at the Hilton, then you are 2 blocks away from what I would consider the best Italian restaurant I%26#39;ve ever been to outside of Italy. It%26#39;s called Ristorante Antipasti and it%26#39;s located on 31st St. bayside.

I know it%26#39;s not seafood, but they usually always have a special entree that uses real crab meat. And the wine selection is great. It is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. If you decide to go, make a reservation.

WOW... the Italian one sounds GREAT too... we have to make plans to get to OC again...

Too many great places for just 1 short weekend!

Thanks for all the suggestions!

Despite what the other poster said........AVOID Phillips and stick with pizza only at the Dough Roller. Phillips is awful!

Ristoranti Antipasti has excellent food and wine, but they are very pricey, so that might be something to consider. Don%26#39;t know your budget.

Check out this site to find a list of restaurants close to your area.

momoo, everyone has their own opinions so its okay if you do not like Phillips. I%26#39;ve been going to OC for over 25 years and love Phillips seafood buffet. To me its the best in OC beacause of the variety of seafood they provide. Again some don%26#39;t care for seafood buffet or just Phillips but to tell some one don%26#39;t go there just because YOU don%26#39;t like it is being ignorant.

I%26#39;m not big on condos or staying past 15th street but I don%26#39;t tell anybody not too.

Also Dough Roller has great subs and fries besides the pizza, goes to show how much you really know.

Phillips and Dough Roller........YUK.
