Savage River Lodge questions, good for a non-dog owner?

I am concidering a trip to Savage River Lodge BUT..... I am not a dog owner, I don%26#39;t like dog hair, I don%26#39;t like dogs barking, I don%26#39;t like unclean rooms, and I get my fill of dog crap in my back yard from the neighbors. Please don%26#39;t label me as a ';dog hater';, it%26#39;s just not my thing. That being said, the resort looks very interesting for an aniversery getaway, yet given my dislikes, would I like the place? It seems as though every review that I read comments on how much their dogs liked it. If I had to tolerate barking, pet hair ect, I%26#39;d just as soon pass. I want to be sure that it%26#39;s clean, quiet, relaxing and hopefully a good dining experience. Your advice?

never been there. i doubt the rooms are unclean, and i%26#39;d imagine that most of the people who go there clean up after their dogs.

but if i were you, with your dislikes....i%26#39;d go somewhere else. there are a MILLION places that don%26#39;t accept dogs for every one that welcomes them.

if you can%26#39;t stand to hear a little barkling...better to choose a place where the owners aren%26#39;t self-admittedly ';dog crazy';.

I am sure that you will find our facility is exactly what you are looking for. While our cabins are all very neat, clean and acceptable for pet owners and non-pet owners we do offer 3 cabins that have never had pets in them. These cabins are set aside mostly for guests with allergies however they would be perfect for you, in order to give you piece of mind.

As for our other pet policies, we provide disposal bag for pet waste and have a strict policy for guests with pets to be responsible to pick up after them. Other pet policies include keeping all pets on their leash and we have a strict policy regarding bark dogs, and make it clear to all pet owners that we have a kennel nearby for any pets who may need alternative lodging.
