Efficiency Hotel ......Lacking Bigtime!!!

We just came back from Ocean City on Saturday. We had a great time and this was our second year in OC. But the hotel which I researched was far from what we expected. This was supposed to be newly renovated...yep...true. It looked great when we walked in , until we got a closer look. Two full beds and a pullout couch....but hey....no bureaus. (We lived out of suitcases for a week!!! ) Then the kitchenette had a fridge and the tiniest stove I%26#39;ve ever seen, and the cabinets were bare...nothing to cook or eat out of, or eat with. Table with 3 chairs. Bathroom had a big countertop. Thank God....seeing there were no towel racks or hook on the door. Towels were not delivered each morning, nor toilet paper...you went in the office to get them. No one came in to vacuum and clean, until you vacated the last day. Only convience is 1 1/2 block to the beach, a pool, 2 soda machines and ice machines right close to you. Next visit will not be at this Hotel.

Efficiency Hotel ......Lacking Bigtime!!!

What was the name of the hotel??? or was it called ';Efficiency Hotel'; ?

It might be helpul for others to know the name so they don%26#39;t have the same experience.

Efficiency Hotel ......Lacking Bigtime!!!

If you could provide the name of the hotel you stayed at, then the other users of the forum and I would know which hotel you%26#39;re talking about and know not to stay there.

Ouch, that was a oops! Sorry. The name of the hotel was Burgundy Inn, between 13th and 14th street , ocean side. They actually have another building across the coastal highway.

Thanks for posting the name. I%26#39;ll be sure to stay away. I%26#39;ve seen the place before but had no idea what it was like inside.

Definitely thanks for the name - I have looked at that place a few times, but for one reason or another never booked.

Good thing you didn%26#39;t. They didn%26#39;t even have a toilet paper holder!!!!

Sheets kept poping off the bed . The pull out couch was weird...it wouldn%26#39;t completely close til you sat on it( it looked like it was side-smirking). My husband laughed and said that if you opened it , he had druthers of whether it would fully open without hitting the two double beds. It was so darn low that when you sat down you fell in and getting up was fun too. The only clock you had was the microwave. The shower adjustments were hard to ajust. You think you got it and then....ouch...hot water.

Good old Burgandy Inn. I only recommend this place to a bunch of 21 year old guys who don%26#39;t care what the place looks like as long as they have beer, a couple of girls to see, pizza place near bye and a roll of toilet paper. Thats what the Burgandy Inn is ideal for not a family. I know first hand, thats what some friends and I used when we were 21 yrs old. Sorry I couldn%26#39;t stear you away sooner.

If I had only went to trip advisor first...... Next time I%26#39;ll check on here first. I find this a tremendous help. The only things I found great there was the church right across the coastal highway, the gas station right across the street from the parking lot of the hotel and the short walk to the boardwalk. Live and learn. Thanks for the info though. If it helps others avoid the mistake of going there....it%26#39;s worth it%26#39;s weight in gold.

did you see the 3 bedroom apt?

They had a 3 bedroom apt.???!!! I wonder if it was recently renovated...LOL! I know one thing. They did not have what they advertised. The pictures looked great and the description sounds nice but when you went there, you were sadly disappointed with Burgundy Inn. Hopefully they have provided what they should have after 6 years.
