Hi,
We are going to the polar bear plunge this saturday at sandy point st park. Following the plunge we are meeting some family at Mitchums Steakhouse in Trappe, MD.
I figure we will leave the Plunge around 3pm but we don%26#39;t have to be at dinner until 7. It%26#39;s an hour drive to get there but what should we do with our other 2-3 hours of free time. I know there are outlets for shopping but we%26#39;ve been and done that. Looking for other cool spots to see around the area.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Cambridge, Easton and Surrounding area What to do with 3hrs?
Two alternatives come to mind - St. Michaels - If you haven%26#39;t been there, you will enjoy just seeing this little spot and there%26#39;s history there too. Check out the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum - interesting stuff for all ages. Another alternative might be the Blackwater Wildlife refuge. The visitor center is really interesting, and then a drive through the beautiful marshlands is fun. I am always a bit thrilled to drive on the road at high tide, when the water is lapping at the narrow pavement on both sides. You will see bald eagles, along with many other species. Take your binoculars. Couple of issues with this latter alternative - Daylight may be an issue, and I%26#39;m not sure how late the visitor%26#39;s center is open. Check the website or call ahead. Mitchums,. . . yummmmm!
