Hey guys,
First time poster here, so take it easy on me if you can. Anyways, I%26#39;m planning on heading down to Baltimore from NYC on Nov 30 to Dec 2nd. I got my hotel booked and everything, i%26#39;ll be staying in Hyatt in Inner Harbor area.
My questions to you are,
what%26#39;s the cheapest easiest way to get to Baltimore from NYC? I would really like to take Megabus because it%26#39;s most convenient for me, however the white marsh park and ride seems a bit inconvenient. How much would cab fare be if i take that to inner harbor?
Say, I don%26#39;t take megabus, and take the sketchy china town bus which stops at O%26#39;Donnell St. I was wondering how much cab fare would be from there to inner harbor or are there public transportation from O%26#39;Donnel St?
Thanks for your help,
Mike

Bus question - NYC to Baltimore...
You can get a Greyhound bus for about 84.00 round trip to the downtown Baltimore bus station. That is only 1 mile or less to you inner harbor hotel. It would be an expensive cab ride from White Marsh to your hotel. A cab ride from the O%26#39;Donnell St location would be less, probably about $25. Train tickets from NYC Penn St to Baltimore Penn Station on your dates anywhere from $125 round trip to $300 depending on time you are leaving. The train station however is very close to your downtown hotel- about 1 mile.
thanks for all your help. I guess I%26#39;m just going to have to take the public buses from white marsh or o%26#39;donnell street because kind of traveling on a budget. Why isn%26#39;t there more buses that just brings you to inner harbor. Sigh...
You can get a much cheaper Greyhound than $84 if you book in advance: I have gotten $25. Just search around on the website. The advantage of Greyhound is that you can go to the downtown bus station in baltimore and get a 5 minute cab ride to the inner habor: cheap and easy.
I%26#39;ll be going to B-more next weekend 11/29 - 12/2 and paid $46 roundtrip with Greyhound.
Click on the ';deals %26amp; discounts'; tab on the Greyhound website and find your destination and you will find tickets for what I stated above.
Only thing it%26#39;s non-refundable but it%26#39;s better than paying $80pp.
thanks for that tip... i have booked my travel through greyhound.
