Baltimore will be my first stop in the US upon arrival, so coming from our Summer will need to purchase some clothes for the cold weather. Any decent shopping malls etc. to visit in the Inner Harbour area?
Shops in Inner Harbour AreaThere aren%26#39;t huge malls like you would find in the suburbs, but you should find enough places to get you what you need. Take a look at this directory of shops in the Inner Harbor area, if the names aren%26#39;t familiar to you I imagine most of the places would have a web site and you can do some online browsing to see what kind of place suits you. (Pun intended lol)

Shops in Inner Harbour AreaThanks for your help.
Will you actually be visiting the inner harbor? Or are you arriving at BWI enroute to another destination? If you are heading to the inner harbor area, in addition to the shops at the Harborplace, my favorite place for decent clothes at a bargain is Filene%26#39;s, which is a block or two further East on Pratt Street, across Pratt Street from the Hard Rock Cafe (which is easily seen from just about anywhere in the harbor area). If you%26#39;re not planning to go to the inner harbor area, Arundel Mills Mall is very close to the airport and is quite large - should have anything you would want. Enjoy your visit!
Ditto on Filenes... the gallery mall across from the harbor has the basics, banana republic, j crew, gap, etc. for higher end shopping, take a 5 min cab ride to harbor east.
There is good shopping in Fells Point also- neighborhood next to Inner Harbor- short water taxi ride [ or regular taxi] away.
welcome from brisbane mate! i used to live in gold coast australia and have been to brisgane.
let us know when you are coming and maybe i%26#39;ll meet you to give you a tour.
i also recommend filene%26#39;s basement.
downtown inner harbor you won%26#39;t find the cheapest of prices, the malls are all in the suburbs as previous poster said. hitting arundel mills mall, close to airport and downtown by car, would be a good idea.
Arundel Mills Mall is definitely a good suggestion as downtown Baltimore just does not have that many options (compared to other large cities). At Arundel you will find outlet stores including Saks, Burlington Coat Factory (they carry clothes and shoes as well), Designer Show Wharehouse and Neiman Marcus, with many smaller stores including the Gap, Liz Claiborne, Ann Taylor Loft, Nautica, Tommy Hilfiger etc. This mall is very close to the BWI airport (10 minutes).
Another option if you would like to take a drive, would be to visit Annapolis MD, the Capital. (25 minutes or less from the airport) Outside the historic area is Westfield Annapolis Mall which is now larger than Arundel Mills (and that is a big place). You can find a Nordstrom%26#39;s, Lord %26amp; Taylor, JC Penney, Macy%26#39;s, and Sears including dozens of other shops, boutiques and full scale restaurants and eateries.
The historic district of Annapolis also offers many unique stores, boutiques, and restaurants with lovely views of the Chespeake Bay.
Thanks to all for the info. We are in town from 26th to 29th, coming in mostly for the Ravens v Jags game.
Looking forward to a good stay.
