My family usually stay at either Hotel Monte Carlo or Tidelands because we are either on or very close to the boardwalk. I want to stay more days down in OC and a condo may be better because of price.
Here is what I want so we can narrow the search:
-condos supplies the sheets/covers
(no room to bring extra stuff like that)
-pool would be nice
-close to the boardwalk (nothing 50th st out)
-balcony
-no run down shack
-don%26#39;t want to cross traffic (experts know what I mean)
Let me know if something is there and if you have a web link? I know it%26#39;s a tough task but I have requirements from the wife.
Thanks.
Any Condos you reccomend near boardwalk?
how many bedrooms do you need - or how many people do you have vacationing with you?

Shoot, forgot that.. Just my family of 4, two kids 2 and 6. Something that sleeps 4.
How many days, like a week? I%26#39;d stay at Holiday Inn at 17th street, mid-way on the boardwalk so if you%26#39;re a runner you can start in either direction depending on the crowd. I also like the Comfort Inn at 5th street and boards. That%26#39;s when my kids were with us, it%26#39;s right beside the Kite Loft so you get to see all the kites flying. CI isn%26#39;t as nice as the HI but the location is great and a little cheaper also good if the kids want to walk down to Marty%26#39;s or the Pier. Don%26#39;t come in June! But you probably already know that.
My family always uses cbvacations.com.
I know that you can add linens but I dont know of many places that automatically have linens included. You are definitely wise to stay more days in a condo then a hotel. It saves so much money - not just in the rental sense, but also because you can cook right in your own kitchen and not have to eat out every meal!
Good luck!
We stay at Ocean Hideaway on 18th street. It is ocean front on the boardwalk and fairly large. They have 1 and 2 bedroom units. We always stay in a 2 bedroom unit that fits 4 adults and 2 young children comfortably with room to spare. There is no pool, but it is a nice family oriented building close to everything, but not too close to the chaos of the lower boardwalk streets.
We have rented through Holiday Real Estate and Coldwell Banker and they both have linens available to purchase for the week. Hope this helps.
Hey tfunky, I am looking for the same type of place and location, but need 3 bedrooms. I%26#39;m thinking about Castle in the Sand. It%26#39;s close to the boardwalk (walkable), oceanfront, has a pool and looks like fun. We usually rent condos farther north but want to try something different this year. Good luck!
Good luck not having to take your own towels and sheets. The commander is 1/2 block away from the boardwalk and supplies the sheets. It is a 2 bedroom with c/a and has a very nice pool with a bar and food. Cute but not fancy. The only reason I am not staying there again is bsecause I need 3 bedrooms.
I am laughing as I say this. Try the burgundy inn!!!! Let me know if you find what you are looking for, because it%26#39;s the same thing I am lookimg for.

lol all you want but the post was started by me and all I wanted was maybe another ida of a place to stay besides the usual hotel I stay at.
I%26#39;ve booked the Hotel Monte Carlo because its block side (meaning just about on the boards) and walking distance to the main part of the boards.
Burgandy Inn is what it is.. A place of 5 guys to stay when I was 28.
I wasn%26#39;t trying to be mean! I just know your frustration trying to find a place. I search the internet for months looking for the kind of place I want and I know it%26#39;s got to be there I just can%26#39;t find it. I actually think I would like the empress apt. but they book the same people every year and you can%26#39;t get in.
