I was curious if anyone knew what that meant? I am applying for a job with the six flags in upper marlboro. I live in silver spring, so i%26#39;m kinda far from that area. Also, whats the best transportation to get there? aside from a rental car, or cab.
whats park-sponsored transportation for six flags?
Just to clarify--for transportation purposes, Six Flags is better described as being in Largo than their mailing address, which uses Upper Marlboro.
I suspect ';park-sponsored transportation'; means an employee shuttle bus service between the park and the closest Metro station (Largo Town Center).
Unfortunately, public transportation options from the Montgomery County suburbs to the Prince George%26#39;s suburbs are VERY limited. The Purple Line, if/when built, will help, but that is light years away.
Unless you have your own car, it will be an extremely long commute using public transportation, or expensive using a cab or rental car.
The only viable public transportation is Metrorail. The rail portion alone from Silver Spring to Largo is at least an hour, since you need to go all the way into downtown DC to change trains at Metro Center. Then you need to factor in time to get to/from the Silver Spring and Largo stations.
Best of luck in your job search.
