First time to Ocean City without kids (yes!!!). Couple in early 40%26#39;s. Going March 13 - March 16. Looked into many places. We thought we wanted to stay on boardwalk but not sure. Want to hit some great bars/dinners wouldn%26#39;t really do with the kids along. Should we be looking at Bayside maybe? ?Can anyone comment on the following:
Crystal Beach - seems ok for us. Price is cheap
Quality Inn Boardwalk - looks really nice but price quoted ($85.95/night) seems to inexpensive to be true... for premium/King bed oceanfront view.
Hilton and Holiday Inn Htel Suites a little more then what we want to spend on ourselves..especially since we have a condo booked June 5th for a week with the kids..
Maybe someone could recommend somewhere else: Ocean Front, Small fridge, micro, balcony, hopefully internet (to check on kids!) Boardwalk - only if enough action there with bars.
Never stayed on Bayside but willing to try since I promised to fish with Hubby if he baited my hook!
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Not sure which place...
Try Talbot Inn, can see the boats come and go from their outside deck bar. Talbot is close enough to walk to the Cork Bar or Snappers at the inlet.
Park Place or Haven Hotel on the boards are real nice and close to everything by walking.
Not sure which place...
You and Hubby? Dunes Manor Hotel. Very nice, lots of ammenities, in house restaurants, tea and crumpets in the afternoon. I think you%26#39;d like it.
We%26#39;ve also stayed at the Quality Inn on 33rd st. and we were VERY happy both times we stayed there. We got an end room oceanfront suite and loved it.
Not sure if the Dunes are right for you because of the recent reviews. Plus being its offseason you can get a nicer oceanfront room for you money.
Hilton 567
Holiday Inn 567
Princess Royale Oceanfront 307
Quality Inn 337
Grand 267
and many more
These came up from ocean-city hotel search using your dates.
Thanks for the great suggestions!
Also what are the numbers after the names?
Oh boy tfunky - never mind last question!!
Hey PA we are going to be down there the same time. All the St Patricks Day celebrations will be on that Sat ( the 14th). Lots of fun!!!
We are staying at the Princess Royale (http://www.princessroyale.com) if you go to their website and click on special and packages/ coupons.
There is a coupon for Thursday night free if you stay a Fri, and Sunday night free if you stay on Sat.
Princess Royal is oceanside, indoor pool and hot tubs outside on the deck.Walking distance to several places.
These rooms have a bedroom and small kitchenette ( which is all we need).
Check it out....
Have a great time!
It depends what you are looking for. Do you want a condo or just a motel room? Luxury or easy location to boardwalk? The bay has beautiful places for the price, but you have to cross 3 major highways everytime you want to go to the beach or boardwalk. I have stayed a couple different places and am always researching places. The commander is nice on the boardwalk. I stayed in the apts. They were cute and the pool is very nice with a bar and food.
Sorry, I just noticed you said you were going in March. You won%26#39;t be hanging out on the beach and boardwalk that much anyway. 300 17th st. on the bay is gorgeous. Good location for entertainment. You can find it on ocvacations.com.
