Has anyone used hotwire to book a hotel room? I have not and am thinking of doing it. My husband comes in late at BWI and I am going to book a room at a hotel (2 or 3 star) that has free shuttle to hotel. Is it trusworthy? Are the amenities listed actually at hotel? We are trying to save money so any advice will be appreciated. Thank you for your help
Hotwire?
I have not used Hotwire, but before I would check out betterbidding.com and see what other users have come up with using Hotwire%26#39;s service in and around BWI at those star ratings.

Hotwire?
I recently booked four rooms at the 4* Westin at BWI on hotwire for $85 a night for a trip at the end of May. There was a 3 hotel for $59, which I believe is the Hilton Garden Inn.
Here is a discussion about my experience here:

If you want to know what a hotwire hotel most likely wil be, there is a Web site called betterbidding.com. Scroll down to the Maryland board and open up the ';pinned hotwire list.'; It lists hotels by neighborhood, star rating and amenities.
I have used Hotwire about 20 times in the last few years and have never had a problem. Yes, the amenities listed are the ones at the hotel. I would definitely recommend them for purchases - you can save quite a bit off the lowest listed price.
And, I highly recommend reading the betterbidding site - the moderator is great who runs it and will definitely help you with any questions you may have - just read the site first and try to understand the process, though.

I have used ';Hotwire'; many, many times. I have never been disappointed. The only caution is special requests and parking. For example, if you need 2 beds- you can not be guaranteed the room type. Parking and other amenities are at the discretion of the hotels. Some hotels charge for parking, shuttle busses, making local calls, using the Internet, and fitness access- these items are not always guaranteed in the price but if you paid the full rate at these hotels- you would be paying extra for these amenities, too. This is not a problem, but you just need to be aware. One thing I do like is that all the taxes are prepaid, I hate the surprises of Hotel taxes when checking out of hotels You can not beat the price of a Hotwire deal . I LOVE '; Hotwire';!
