Fells Point New Years Eve

Hi there-

I%26#39;ve been to Fells Point a few times and I love it down there (Actually I%26#39;m moving there in two years). Anyway, me and my girlfriend and possibly a few friends are coming down from Jersey for new years eve.

We cant spend more than 150 on a room. Fells point preferred, but anywhere in the inner harbor would be ok. Any recomendations?

Also, for New Years Eve, how late does the water taxi run? And, do all of the bars typically have a cover charge? Thanks in advance!

Fells Point New Years Eve

I just checked on Expedia, there are several harbor hotels for about 125 a night. mariott, days inn, etc... you%26#39;d be fine with anywhere near the harbor. Before I moved down here, i always liked the Tremont Plaza (also around the same price)- it%26#39;s downtown, maybe a 5-10 min cab ride to fells, but the rooms are really big and comfortable.

Also Hilton Garden Inn is listed at 142 a night and that is walking distance to fells... might be worth a few more dollars not to have to deal with cabs on the ride home.

not sure about cover charges, but i think the fells bars are pretty casual for nye, you can probably just bounce around without having to pay for party tickets at most places.

Fells Point New Years Eve

A lot(most, not all) have a large cover that includes all you can drink/open bar. These are around $100. Other bars do have cover charges and they are all increased. I have not been to Fells Point on NYE, but I am confident Fells follows the rest of the city and you will pay one.

If you find a bar that does not have one ,expect it to be packed.
