Difference between Homewood Suites and Hilton Garden Inn?

The Homewood Suites by Hilton Baltimore and Hilton Garden Inn Baltimore Inner Harbor have the same address, President Street in the Inner Harbor East. How are they different? I can see on the Hilton web site that Homewood Suites have kitchens and offer a free breakfast. Is that the only difference. I%26#39;m trying to make a recommendation and want my friend to get the best.

The main difference is Homewood Suites having the small kitchen and living area in addition to the bed. Nice to have if you%26#39;re in town for a few days, not important (to me at least) if I%26#39;m only staying a couple of nights.

The free breakfast is like the Hampton Inn breakfast, not that great, good for a cup of coffee and some juice and a mini-muffin or cereal or something.

Hilton Garden Inn serves a full cooked breakfast as well as some hot buffet dishes.

Really not much difference between them, they%26#39;re both good mid-range properties for downtown Baltimore.

When you walk in the front door, they share the same lobby so which one does not really matter from a location standpoint. Plus they were built and opened simultaneously so they should be the same general condition. The Homewood Suites does have the kitchen (and are a generous size room). It may be worth a premium depending on your needs.
